Since the signing of the Declaration of Independence, america has been mankind’s only bastion of Freedom and Liberty. In recent times Americans have been perverted by people who stood to gain from the perversion. Indeed, the” American Dream” became a slogan used by marketers and politicians to sell everything from homes to votes.
Today I see great strife amongst my fellow countrymen. They know something isn’t right, but are confused as to what exactly the problem is much less how to fix it. On the radio, the Right Wing blames the gays, and the Left. On TV, the Left Wing blames the wealthy and the Right. Main-Street blames Wall-Street banksters and Wall-Street blames the Main-Street Man.
Truthfully there is only one group of people who are responsible for our mutual dilemma, and unfortunately you need to look no further than your closest bathroom mirror to find the perpetrator. During the last 20 years or so, you gave away the store! You were given sales-pitch after sales pitch by sophisticated conmen who did not have your best interest at heart, and you bought over and over again. I can’t condemn you because they put on “quite a dog and pony show.” They brought in “experts” and used the “impartial news” to pitch their wares. Shoot, they even used the president to get you all riled up and ready to give it all away.
Maybe you didn’t know that the news was owned by the same corporations that were looting you, the very same corporations that had spent 52 billion dollars lobbying our congress to look the other way while they cleaned you out. Or maybe you knew, but couldn’t imagine such corruption could possibly exist in America. “That’s the stuff of 3rd world banana republics, not America!” Whether you did know and allowed it or whether you didn’t know and allowed it the result is the same. You allowed it. You surrendered your sacred, one of a kind freedom for a handful of lies and empty promises.
While this may be hard for you to accept at first, this is actually good news! In fact it’s the best “news” you can hear, because if YOU allowed it, YOU can fix it!
I would like to give you some thoughts that you can start mulling over in your head. You may find these ideas radical. They certainly were considered radical when they were first penned by Thomas Jefferson in the Declaration of Independence. These ideas served as the catalyst to ignite a people into revolution in 1776 and I hope they help you draw a line in the sand today.
